Builder Onboarding

Use this page when your team is planning to launch its own trading frontend on Orderly and onboard its own users. This page covers builder setup and launch readiness. Once your builder identity is in place, move to the technical docs to implement the product itself. If you are an API trader using an existing builder, you do not need the full builder onboarding flow. Start from the Integration FAQs instead.

What this page covers

This guide helps you:
  • choose the right launch path
  • set up your builder profile
  • understand how builder fees and tiers work
  • register your admin account
  • hand off cleanly into implementation and launch preparation

Step 1: Choose your launch path

There are two primary ways to launch on Orderly. Pick the path that matches your product scope and engineering needs.

Option A: Orderly One

Orderly One is the faster path to market if you want a lower-code route and a branded trading experience with less custom frontend work.
  • Best for: teams that want to launch quickly with a more packaged setup
  • Next step: continue from the Orderly One portal

Option B: Custom SDK/API integration

Custom integration is the better fit when you want full control over product design, frontend behavior, and integration logic.
  • Best for: wallets, existing exchanges, and teams building a more customized trading journey
  • Next step: continue through the builder setup steps on this page, then move into the Integration Checklist

Step 2: Contact Orderly and align onboarding

Start by reaching out through an official Orderly channel so the team can align with you on onboarding, launch scope, and any commercial or operational requirements. This step is where you confirm the launch path, builder profile setup, and the practical sequence for getting to go-live.

Step 3: Prepare your builder profile

To initialize your setup, you should be ready to provide the core information Orderly needs to create your builder profile:
  • Builder ID
  • Builder name
  • Initial fee configuration
  • Launch path (Orderly One or custom integration)
Once this information is confirmed, Orderly can provision your builder profile, assign the appropriate permissions, and help you move toward admin registration.

Step 4: Review the fee model and builder tiering

Before launch, make sure your team understands how builder monetization works:
  • Builders define the user-facing fee charged on their own frontend.
  • Orderly charges a separate base fee underneath.
  • The gap between those two numbers is the builder’s margin.
Base fees depend on your tier in the Builder Staking Programme, so this page does not repeat the fee tables. Use the canonical Trading fees page when you need the current tiers, requirements, and fee rates.

Step 5: Register your admin account

Once your builder profile is ready, register the admin account that will manage builder-level settings and fee configuration.

For Orderly One builders

  1. Complete the setup or graduation flow in the Orderly One portal.
  2. Secure any Orderly keys issued during setup.
  3. Complete the wallet-linking steps required by the onboarding process.

For custom SDK/API builders

  1. Visit the builder registration tool.
  2. Connect your wallet and complete the registration flow.
  3. Secure any Orderly keys issued during setup.
  4. Complete the wallet-linking steps required to finish admin setup.
After the linkage is complete, you can access the Orderly admin portal.

Step 6: Confirm readiness and move into implementation

At this point, your team should have:
  • a builder profile
  • an admin account
  • a clear fee and tiering model
  • alignment with Orderly on launch readiness
From there, continue with the technical build and launch path:

Where do I find the current builder fee tiers?

Use the Trading fees page for the current builder fee model and the Builder Staking Programme tiers.

Orderly will notify your team as the builder profile and admin setup are completed during onboarding.

What should I do after onboarding is complete?

Move directly into the Integration Checklist so the builder setup work turns into an actual implementation plan.
